15th JMC-U Meeting: Discussed Cease Fire Implementation

 

 

 

6 decisions were resulted from 15th JMC-U meeting on its 2nd day and continued the final day on Friday at National Reconciliation and Peace Centre (NRPC) in Yangon.

Decisions were to include New Mon State Party in JMC-U and JMC-S, continue the JMC-U’s budget by the UNDP like it was initially started and form negotiation team which includes civilian representatives for Hpapun  case.

Secretary-2, JMC-U, Col. Wunna Aung said “Related to Hpapun case, we decided to form negotiation team which includes civilian representatives aiming to end conflicts there.

Meanwhile the decisions from 14th meeting were reviewed to analyze the needs for implementation.

Secretary-1, JMC-U, Dr. Shwe Kharr said “We mainly discussed ceasefire implementation tasks in the period between 14th and 15th JMC-U meeting.”

Related to Hpapun  case, the meeting among the leaders from Tatmadaw, KNU and KNLA is planned to be held in Kyaukkyi on March 29th or 30th.

The regular civilian representatives meeting which is held quarterly and it is also planned to be held in Hpapun  of Kayin State in the second week of July.
