Youths in Zimbabwe including main political parties MDC-T, MDC, NPP and Zanu PF have shelved political differences to unite ahead of the elections for peace and tolerance ahead of elections.
Launching the Joint Youth Liason Committee (JYLC) in Harare today said they have resolved to put differences and focus on building peace and development of Zimbabwe since the youths constitute the largest of the country’s population.
JYLC was coordinated by National Association of Youth Organizations(NAYO), a youth umbrella body for youth organizations working in Zimbabwe.
“We the leaders and representatives of youth political wings in our different political formations converged from the 42nd of April 2018 in Harare in a dialogue process united in our diversity by our common desire for freedom, justice and equality, and our heroic resistance to colonialism, racism and all forms of domination and oppression”, reads the statement.
Zanu PF youths representatives, however, could not make it to the launch.
